Events Transpiring before, during, and after a High School Basketball Game plot
As the sad Middleview High School boys' basketball team prepares for yet another losing game, unusual situations arise in the environment. For example, Ken, a grumpy referee, is put in charge of taking care of his soon-to-be ex-wife's pygmy spitz. Brent Davidson, the insufferable assistant coach of the Middleview Ducks, argues for a complicated defensive strategy. Player Joel tries to explain existentialism to his teammates. And a group of theater students stage a confrontational protest after their postcolonial version of 'King Lear' is banned by the school.
