Abduction Runs in the Family plot

Alyssa is a successful writer who takes care of her young daughter Emma alone. Alyssa was kidnapped as a child and did not return safely until seven years later. When she learns that her kidnapper Miles has been released from prison, she has a panic attack and visits a therapist. Days later, Emma suddenly disappears without a trace, after which Alyssa's life is turned upside down. She is sure Miles is back, but then discovers that he has an alibi.
