"The deeper you go, the darker it gets."
Mouse has a shitty job at a nightclub, but feels supported by her boss in following her passion as a cartoonist. When her colleague Doe-Eyes disappears without a trace, the authorities seem to do little about it. Mouse then starts a quest himself and gets help from the befriended Ugly.

Hints of the veil are lifted, while the plot is quickly recognizable. The strength of this film is that, if you factor in the Epstein history, more of these kinds of elite groups could exist worldwide. The film itself is nicely conceived, yet the limited budget detracts from the whole, which is a shame. More depth would have made the film more powerful. 2.4*

Somewhere between Sin City and the noir genre, at one point I imagined myself in a variation of Kubrick's sex séance. It's a shame that everything remained too tame. In short, quite entertaining, but nothing more than that.
