Not very bad, but also not good and above all very predictable, so that the tension is more lost than it is present. Not a very good acting either.

The husband is sort of a cross between Jeffrey Dahmer and Andrew Cunanan in appearance and also resembles Peter Foley, the serial killer from Copycat, with a somewhat nerdy look, large glasses and neatly combed hair. Your subconscious immediately tells you that something is not right with him and that makes the film very predictable as far as I'm concerned. He's also called Henry, as if the fact that he radiates all serial killer isn't clear enough. In fact, the film is so predictable that at some point you even start doubting yourself: it can't be that simple, can it? Maybe there will be a twist after all and I've been wrong all along. But that twist never comes, surprisingly. Perhaps the most surprising thing about this film is that there is no surprise in it.

Ugly house. Large, modern, lots of luxury, but it doesn't bother me at all. A front door of 3 meters high, 2 meters wide, 20 cm thick. Like living in a bunker and not in a house. Lots of glass, sleek decor with uninviting furniture that would look better in an office. There is no soul in those houses. Not that I have anything against tight houses, by the way. That famous Frank Lloyd Wright house, for example, in the middle of the woods, I think is really beautiful, but it's a completely different house.

Furthermore, quite a nice road-going thriller with an occasional shock moment and the acting didn't bother me either. At least not a movie with that happy 'I'm participating in a movie!' actors.

Apparently seen on the main actress's birthday. But sorry for her, this is not a good movie. Aside from some cheap scare effects, the film is super predictable. You can see from miles away that the girl is hidden in the house. I knew from the moment she was told she was missing.

The acting, especially of the male lead, who came across as very creepy in an appropriate way, isn't great. It is filmed reasonably well, with the occasional camera turn. Anything but startling, but at least slightly above average. In the end, not much of an unpleasant thing to see, but I do expect something more than that. 1*.
