Battle Taxi plot
"They called his outfit "sitting ducks" - but he made them avenging eagles!"
Captain Russ Edwards commands a rescue unit of helicopters that transport wounded soldiers from combat areas and rescue pilots who have to abandon their planes. He has a problem with one of his men, former fighter pilot Pete Stacey, who takes unnecessary risks with his helicopter. Pete is frustrated that he has to fly helicopters instead of jets and wants to stop. Helicopter pilots, however, are scarce, meaning he has no chance of being transferred. Under pressure from his commander to reduce the number of helicopters out of service for repairs, Russ does his best to get Pete on his side.
