Antoine Dufont with an "F" lives with his ailing father. Antoine is in his forties and is not exactly the epitome of someone who has succeeded in life. No wife, no children, living with his father and a job that can hardly be called a job. And between father and son there is also bickering and a lot of misunderstanding. And yet the mutual love is great when the father is hospitalized and dying.
Roi is a warm film about love and respect for your loved ones. About sacrifices and last wishes. It is a film that hits the right note without becoming sentimental. Beautifully told through an Elvis impersonation. A number of scenes are very worthwhile, especially towards the end, such as the telephone conversation / video call with his father, the funeral as well. The humor is not forgotten either. Fine!
