De Openbaring plot

At the start of the corona outbreak in January 2020, Jacob (Victor Löw) moves in with his single mother (Leny Breederveld). Jacob is terrified that his mother will contract the virus, so he goes into full quarantine with her until the pandemic is 'over' again. A decent drama-thriller, but this wasn't horror at all. Good role from Löw and the ending was nice, even if it was quite predictable.

When the first reports about Covid reach the Netherlands, Jacob [Victor Löw] unexpectedly shows up at his mother [Leny Breederveld] with the aim of protecting her. Sister Magda [Monic Hendrickx], a nurse in a care home, is concerned because Jacob lost himself in the 2K panic once in 1999. And despite Jacob's good intentions, he seems to be slowly but surely losing his grip on reality and falling under the spell of Internet personality Breck [William Sutton]. An intelligent study of the correlation between loneliness and conspiracy theories that goes awry towards the end, but is definitely well acted, especially by Breederveld.

Quite entertaining at first, this surrealistic drama about the eccentric Jacob (Victor Löw) who moves in with his single mother (Leny Breederveld) at the start of the corona outbreak. Gradually, the plot and the character of Jacob unfortunately become less and less interesting and the film goes in a direction in the finale that I could not do much with. Löw's game is also not equally strong everywhere.
