'It is allowed to disapprove of homosexuality, as long as schools provide a safe learning climate', said Minister Arie Slob of Education on November 9, 2020. He was referring to reformed schools that would have the right to have parents of children sign a statement in which they reject homosexuality on the basis of faith. Program maker Yora Rienstra decided to report the crime and with this documentary shows what it is like to be an LGBTQIA+ at an (orthodox) religious school.
