Titina plot

This epic is set in the Arctic around the mysterious death of Roald Amundsen and the shameful history of Umberto Nobile. At the center is Titina: the first - and last - fox terrier in the North Pole. Through the eyes of this mutt who became the first four-legged celebrity to travel to this area in a zeppelin, the film tells a true story of winning and losing. Two noblemen and the dog embark on a dangerous quest.

Fourteen years after the Norwegian Roald Amundsen [Kåre Conradi] was the first to reach the geographic South Pole, he wants to make an attempt to be the first to fly to the North Pole. That is why he contacts the Italian aircraft designer Umberto Nobile [Jan Gunnar Røise], who must design an aircraft that can withstand the extreme cold and can land safely at the North Pole and of course fly it. It won't be Nobile's last adventure in the Arctic. On all those adventures, Umberto took his beloved dog Titina [Brutus] with him. That Næss tells the adventures of Nobile and Amundsen from the perspective of an undeniably cute little dog makes this an entertaining reconstruction of the last great explorers and makes it ideally suited for the youngest viewers. Photos remind us that it is based on true events, and Næss uses that effectively.
