One of the radicalized women in camp Al-Roj in northeastern Syria is Shamima Begum. She left London when she was 15 to travel to Syria with two school friends and married an ISIS terrorist. British journalists discovered her in 2019, heavily pregnant, in a Syrian camp. Her lack of remorse in the initial interviews sparked outrage. She eventually lost her citizenship.
