Manuel Buendía was an investigative journalist writing for a well-read and respected column in Mexico City. In mid-1984, he was shot dead outside his office. The murder shocked the Mexican press because nothing like this had ever happened before. This documentary presents several testimonies from people who knew the famous columnist and breathes new life into one of the greatest acts against press freedom. Buendía's work is scrutinized to unravel his murder and the links between politics and drug trafficking.
