A TV film, based on true events, about the Oslo Accords between Israel and the PLO. I don't know much about the situation in the Middle East, other than the fact that there is shit going on, but what we see are the negotiations to reach a peace agreement and how they came about.

The use of real images and a well-performing cast make the film definitely worth watching, although it is a long one.

Film about the realization of the Oslo Accords. Political drama that moves along reasonably well, but at times shows how difficult it is to bring two peoples who only know war closer together. Could have been a little more exciting, in my opinion. 3 stars.

It is perhaps more of an impressive story than an impressive film. Not only the perhaps somewhat restrictive budget, but also the translation from a play produces a somewhat static setting. Still, the play is good, with Wilson and Dau especially standing out.

There are also a few real gems in the narrative, such as the moment when Ahmet Qurei admits that he has never spoken to or seen a Jew. Whether that actually happened does not matter much, it is very indicative of these types of high-profile conflicts - a complete unfamiliarity with the other party, a complete lack of communication and no form of mutual understanding whatsoever. It is all the better that the Oslo Accords were reached in such a situation, and particularly tragic that they have now drifted so far apart.
