Charles (Brian Tyree Henry) is an editor and lives mostly in his apartment. Introverted, just out of a relationship with Isha (Sonequa Martin-Green), always under the pressure of an approaching deadline and in a rut. When Charles locks himself outside his apartment, he is forced to confront the world he's been avoiding and look for a way back inside. Not an easy task; on his socks, with no money and a phone that is almost empty.
