After a devastating environmental disaster, a family decides to leave Earth and settle on Mars. Moderate sci-fi drama. The story is the biggest flaw. It is about almost nothing and swirls in all directions. It's like you're in the middle of a story that then ends halfway. It's still starting. That's the best part of the movie. After half an hour the fun stops and the film is no longer interesting and quickly gets boring. The ending is disappointing. It seems as if the makers want to give a social message, but they completely miss the point. The acting is also quite ok. Visually, the film looks simple but realistic. Unfortunately a setback. 2.0

Visually quite well done, but the story is a bit on the thin side for a playing time of about a hundred minutes. Boutella is fun, I wasn't exactly disappointed with the other actors. Well, the robot thing is nice minimalistic, and more generally I liked the whole design of the shelters and things on the red planet. Not very attractive to want to live, that's something else.
Elaborating on that subject, it really baffles me that some people apparently see a colony on Mars as a viable alternative to a decent environment here on Earth. Then you believe in fairy tales very easily.
