When the mother of filmmaker Karima Saïdi, Aïcha, develops Alzheimer's disease at the end of her life, Karima decides to make a film portrait of her in her care home in Brussels. Aïcha becomes increasingly confused and Karima takes her on a mental journey back to her past. The filmmaker uses Aïcha's stories and a wide range of family archive material to give an impression of Aïcha's life.

Very mediocre documentary about the story of the filmmaker who presents a portrait of her demented mother. Moderate in that sense because I found the approach quite annoying. Dialogues always take place off-screen and the mother herself was always portrayed with photos pasted together. Archive images here and there. No, I just thought it was a mess.

So I didn't really care much about the content. Little experience, little interest despite the fascinating subject. Then it becomes difficult to deliver an excellent doxu.

If you want to see an excellent documentary on a similar subject and similar approach, I refer you to Me and My Parents, My Parents and Me (Film, 2004) . Much better.
