Film that resolutely takes the side of the young person who, against the wishes of his parents, wants to maintain his choice for his future profession and life.
Goes much further when Colin freely criticizes the attitude of his parents and even manages to put them under panicky pressure.
Film also has its tender moments, especially where the relationship with Colin's grandmother is shown, although he himself is certainly not free to speak about the totality of his actions.
Average film that initially required some extra attention, given the varying time periods from which the story is constructed.
