Sigga, a 17-year-old girl, wants to leave Iceland to go to California. She hopes to exchange her native country for the exciting state of the US and become a poet there. Simple coming-of-age film in which the girl Sigga is looking for what it's all about, or something like that. With her friends in tow, one of which happens to be a kayak.

Well, with such a leading role you apparently don't get a prominent place at the top of the credits on IMDB, so it takes some searching to uncover that it is a certain Kristín Auður Sophusdóttir who plays Sigga. Not exactly a role that requires traditional acting with lyrics and such, so it may be a bit difficult to form an opinion about that. Like the film itself, it's all quite unusual. But the images are fresh and beautiful, especially when there is a beautiful part of Iceland to see. The title is certainly correct, that much can be said.
