Somewhere in Berlin, a postman delivers a package and shortly afterwards everything changes. A terrorist attack shakes a family to its foundations. Losing her mother, her brothers and her house, Maxi tries to look ahead, but is still deeply insecure. Nothing seems to work. Her father Alex is just as traumatized as she is. The certainties of the past have been swept away and the grief associated with their loss clouds everything. Meeting another youngster seems to help Maxi. Karl frees her from her paralysis and urges her to overcome her fear.
