Funny Boy plot
"Love was an act of war."
The story is set in the Sri Lanka of the 1970s and 1980s, where the Tamils are a minority. Eight-year-old Argie likes to dress up as a bride. Argie has no idea why the adults think it's so funny, but he knows it doesn't mean anything good. His aunt Radha takes care of the boy and sees that he is homosexual. This is prohibited in Sri Lanka.
