Emily Nichols is determined to go home for Christmas after missing every other family event this year. But when a series of accidents jeopardizes her vacation plans, she must find an alternative plan. Fortunately, she meets Simon, a fellow sufferer on her way to the same final destination. They join forces to get home in time for Christmas. However, their opposing personalities put their will to the test, but it also provides an opportunity to get to know each other and maybe even find love.
