Wild Life plot
Calgary, 1909. A neat young Englishman immigrates to Alberta, Canada to engage in cattle ranching. But his love of badminton, birdwatching and spirits leaves little time to wrestle with the cattle. It soon becomes apparent that nothing in his sophisticated upbringing prepared him for the harsh conditions of the prairie in the new world. He struggles with homesickness and his letters to the home front are much sunnier than reality.
