Good movie. Justin plays really strong. In fact, everyone is doing their best.

It's a pity that the clichés always come up when it comes to homosexuality in films.

The boy wears pins and high boots and watches girls' programmes, nothing wrong with that, but always so exaggerated.

As a kid I just loved toy trains, Lego and Playmobil, getting into mischief and pulling the heads of my sister's Barbie dolls off their bodies, ha, ha, ha.

It would be nice if just a tough guy or a tough kid has homosexual feelings and struggles with that. Not all gays are wimps or wimps.

Great Apple that addresses two themes that could be a bit too much, but were still well balanced here. On the one hand, we are talking about a convicted criminal who has been released and has to earn his place in society again. That was not so obvious, although it was all in all not too bad. The fact is that it is sometimes necessary to prove themselves again if they are not given new opportunities. I can imagine that you are discouraged by that.

On the other hand, the film deals with the theme of being queer and then specifically on little Sam. Bold subject and that in a fairly conservative and religious state like Louisiana. The reason why both themes go well together is partly because of the excellent acting of both Timberlake and Ryder Allen. There was also a clear connection between the two. Some funny moments here and there, especially because of Sam's wit.

You can also add a third theme about child neglect. Despite the sometimes difficult moments, it is rather a feel good movie. Solid film, well worked out, certainly, but it seems a bit too made to be good, both for the plot and the ending.

I watched the movie with my 15 year old daughter. Eh, he might be a bit tall, but that didn't bother us at all.

What an endearing man, how well 'sam' plays. I find the film remarkable in that respect, heartbreaking because you know that it can also be true. cliche, awful and predictable. Well. As a mother side, you are a bit more sensitive to this, aren't you
