The Life and Trials of Oscar Pistorius plot

"30 for 30"

The documentary tells the story of South African athlete Oscar Pistorius who emerged as a global superhero during the 2012 Paralympic Games in London. But also how the man who inspired millions as Blade Runner became the center of a murder investigation. The four parts in which the film is divided give a complete picture of both the glory and the tragedy surrounding Pistorius. Based on archival footage and interviews with relatives of both Pistorius and the murdered Reeva Steenkamp, no detail remains underexposed: the highlights on the athletics track, but especially the early morning of February 14, 2013, in which Steenkamp is shot dead by Pistorius at home in Pretoria - and the media frenzy that followed during the trial.
