Het Leven Is Droom plot

Vanesa's parents are immigrants who fled the deep poverty of Spain in the 1970s to pursue their dream in the Netherlands. They worked for hours on end, more than 45 years, with the aim of returning richly to Spain. There, in a comfortable house full of Dutch porcelain and shiny gold, they can finally rest. Vanesa herself lives in the Netherlands and still feels trapped in her family's dream. Torn between two hometowns, she once again dives into her past. Slowly but surely, Vanesa and her parents must face the harsh reality.
