Buster Keaton ending up in a haunted house, on paper it's a great idea. The performance itself is also decent, but I must say that I was still a bit hungry. In the first place also because this is actually a rather chaotic short film. I also understand the presence of the group of actors because Keaton and co had to somehow get ghosts and skeletons into the haunted house, but it seriously takes the momentum out of it and actually has little to offer. The running joke with the stairs is still fun - mainly thanks to an acrobatic Keaton who shows off some breakneck falls here - and is still responsible for a smile at the very end (when Keaton thunders down the stairs to the heaven and thus ends up in hell) but all in all I've known Keaton better.

Small 3.5*

The first part with Buster as a bank clerk is the best part of the movie. It is resourceful in the funny situations that follow each other in short succession. Afterwards it is much less in the haunted house with many characters whose role is not well understood and they do not succeed in making us laugh anyway. It can't always be price but rest assured it ends "safe" as we are used to.

Another small 3.5.

The first part with the banknotes is indeed the most amusing part of this Buster Keaton movie. My 11-year-old daughter also watched it, she liked it, but it was also silly and unrealistic. Well, that's the slapstick silent movies of 100 years. But she did enjoy herself.

The haunted house was a bit less and after sliding down those stairs a few times, we finally knew it. Nice idea, but I've seen better ones from Keaton. All a bit confused and the first and second part could have been worked out better separately. However, it is still fun to watch the acrobatic Keaton at work.
