When Forever Dies is the mythical story of two lovers torn between light and shadow, told in a colorful torrent of archival images. Regardless of time and place and across every genre, we see a dark romance develop between Forever Woman and Forever Man. Their zest for life is enchanting, but "happily ever after" is a long time coming. When the couple enters into a contract with the devil to make their wildest dreams come true, a battle of the sexes ignites. The True emerges as the Other, archetypes transform into stereotypes and slowly but surely the dearly beloved degenerate into sworn enemies. This is how love turns into hate. Will they ever find a way back?
