Five mafia families ruled New York with a bloody fist in the 1970s and 1980s. Many of these mobsters owned clubs that served unlicensed alcohol, engaged in clan warfare and robbery, and also controlled the construction industry, dock workers, and the fish market. It was a vertically organized company that started in the early 20th century and bore the Italian term 'La Cosa Nostra'. Then a group of FBI agents decide to try the unthinkable: take them out.
