The Fox and the Bird plot
A fox sees a chick emerge from an egg and then develops a paternal bond with the chick. He enthusiastically takes on this role and an endearing bond develops between the two. But as the bird approaches adulthood, it becomes clear that their unusual family cannot stay together forever.
