The Feast plot
"While they feast, she waits."
A wealthy family gathers for dinner. A local businessman and a neighboring farmer are also invited to make a business deal with them. They are served by a young woman who does not talk much. Her presence brings great consequences.

Delicious slow burn,
Unique video that will probably never reach the general public. To start with, the film is Welsh, now there are of course subtitles, but the amount of consonants in the names takes some getting used to. In addition, the film is one of the slowest slow burns you can find, because it really takes a while before the light turns green here.
That said, the first part is by no means long or boring, because apart from the fact that the film is very neat audiovisually (especially the soundscapes are beautiful), we also get some terrifying breadcrumbs once in a while from where this proverbial journey to goes.
Jones also knows how to create a nice mysterious / lurid atmosphere, which definitely takes this slow burn a step higher. Wonderful acting also from Annes Elwy, she gives a beautiful enigmatic pendulum to her character that gives you the constant feeling that something is going to happen. And boy, something happened.
Very tasty.
