Great.

Mak turns it into an audiovisual feast (but don't be fooled by the neon in the title; color plays only a very limited role in this film. But even the costumes are extremely classy in this film, something I rarely notice, but here it is a real asset.

Otherwise, a crime film like the better work of To (think Election), or something along the lines of Andrew Lau (Young and Dangerous), but darker and heavier in tone. The cast is great, the story is engaging (but you do have to pay attention a bit, because not everything is handed to you on a silver platter). The latter, in particular, turns out to be a major problem for modern film fans, so be warned.

4.5* and an extensive review
