Life is hard for Ho-Ching when he is first unfairly fired and then breaks up with his girlfriend because he thinks she is cheating on him with someone else. He decides to put aside all his scruples and, against the wishes of his father, a former policeman, becomes a broker for a shady gold investment firm. He thus follows in the footsteps of his younger brother, who has just been released from prison. Just when Ho-Ching begins a budding relationship with a single mother, he runs into his former girlfriend again.
