Filles de Joie plot
In 'Filles de Joie' we follow three women, Axelle, Conso and Dominique, who have little in common except their work for a blistering summer. Every morning they bicker together over the Belgian-French border to Roubaix, where they secretly work as prostitutes. All three have their own problems and can use the money to make ends meet. Axelle is divorced, Conso has a bad boyfriend and Dominique has a family with two teenagers to support. They will never be friends, but their shared double life binds them together. When one of them gets into trouble, that bond becomes unbreakable.
