El Príncipe plot
Chile, some time before Allende becomes president. Jaime in his early twenties is a self-righteous loner. He slits his best friend, nicknamed 'the Gypsy', in what appears to be an act of passion. In prison he meets 'the Stallion', a respected, older man who approaches him out of a deep need for affection and an indomitable desire for recognition. An intimate relationship grows between them, "a black love" as it is called in prison. It allows Jaime, nicknamed 'the Prince', to discover certain feelings in the shadows of the power struggle behind bars.
