Afrikaanse Bruid plot

The Belgian ex-para Gilbert seems happy in Kenya. He enjoys the weather, the booze and praises the local women: "Once you go black, you always go black." His friends think Gilbert has a big heart and treats them better than local men. Yet something is brewing. Gilbert struggles with war trauma and drinks a lot. What are his real motives? Prejudice and cultural differences also stand in the way.
