Kommunisten plot
This film consists of six parts: Le Peuple, Le Temps du Mépris, L' Espoir, Les Apuanes, L'Utopie Communiste and Le Nouveau Monde. Communists breathe new life into scenes from Straub-Huillet's diverse filmography. We travel from Switzerland to Italy to Egypt to follow a story of insurrection through the 20th century. Straub mixes movie scenes that show the untold story in his work: the attempt to fuse society and rebellion.
