Aru Sendo no Hanashi plot
Toichi is a skipper who takes the villagers to a town on the other side of the river. He hardly has any social contacts, his young neighbor Genzo is one of the few he sometimes talks to. A large bridge is being built upstream. Everyone is excited, but Toichi has mixed feelings about it. One day, Toichi meets a mysterious young girl. Since she has no family and nowhere to go, Toichi takes her with her.
