Despite his unconventional looks and distinctive voice, Buddy Holly was one of the most influential rock & roll stars of the 1950s. His brief career ended after a year and a half when he died in a plane crash at the age of 22. Based on interviews with family, friends and colleagues, this documentary paints a portrait of the legendary artist who wrote musical history together with his band The Crickets.
