Secrets of McDonald's: 50 Years of the Big Mac plot

This documentary tells of how the McDonald brothers and McDonald's founders Richard and Maurice set up a drive-in hamburger restaurant near Pasadena, California in 1940. By 1948, they realized that the restaurant would be more profitable if they increased efficiency by streamlining the menu and preparing food at busy times, using lights to keep the fries warm. It ended up being a real success story, because ten years later McDonald's sold its 100 millionth hamburger.
