Yes, sorry, for me this has nothing to do with what Black Mirror is about. The danger of looking at your screen/being addicted to it, but then showing this by wrapping a far-fetched problem in an tension-free, long-winded standard hosting mini-drama. 2*

Poor part.

A part that barely seems to be part of the series, because there is not much sci-fi to discover in it. Even for the techdoom aspect you have to look far. One doesn't get much further than some half-baked recycling of well-known tunes (boohoo social media and watch my phones behind the wheel).

What remains is a rather tough and poorly developed kidnapping story. This film lacks a serious tension, good actors or catchy drama. Above all, it feels very perfunctory and uninspired, as if it has become an obligatory song. It wouldn't surprise me if that were the case in the meantime.

I didn't really care for the series, but it only seems to be slipping further. It's all a shame because, in essence, so many wonderful things could be done with this. It can't be very difficult to find a director who can make his mark, or to come up with a story that does have something of substance to say, can it?

Fortunately, this latest batch only consists of three films.

1.5*

Best part of the new season. I really don't understand why it is said that this is not a so-called ''typical'' Black Mirror in terms of style. That's exactly what it is as far as I'm concerned. 'Smithereens' shows us (again à la BM) what kind of an impersonal society we live in with regard to technology, social media, etc., plus some human things that are related to everything. As far as I'm concerned, this is anything but a kidnapping story. Yes, exciting episode, well executed, beautiful locations and class acting.
