Ik Ben Er Even Niet plot

This documentary is an associative, visual exploration through the brain and the imagination, in which director Maartje Nevejan examines her memory of an epileptic absence experience, a brief hiccup of the brain. On the basis of the absence experiences of young people, but also through science and art, Maartje constructs a new narrative about where we are when we are not there, and lets the viewer experience what it is like when you fall away for a while.
