Pahuna: The Little Visitors plot
Pranay, Amrita and their little brother are forced by their mother to leave the village in which they live. Their village, which lies on the border of Nepal and India, is attacked by soldiers. While their mother stays behind to look for her husband, the children leave with their neighbors. They hide in a church and hear that the priest is eating children. Pranay and Amrita are afraid that their brother is not safe and run away again. From that moment on they are all alone.

Difficult to judge. Watching a film completely tailored for children as an adult requires an extra effort. Dubbing is already annoying as a Dutch speaker, but when the translation voice is always the same and you still hear the authentic language seeping through in the background, it becomes annoying. Surprising too, because I didn't expect this genre at all.
The story is very simplistic, but touching. Adventurous and exciting for a young audience, cliché and predictable for adults. You can pull yourself up to the beautiful nature images, especially in the beginning of the film. Nice also that van that is very reminiscent of McCandless' van (Into the Wild (Film, 2007)).
