Elegant, soberly cut film house drama. Photograph tells the story of a caste-inadequate romance in modern India. The restrained way of acting beautifully reflects the traditional culture, where the individual is still in the service of family and country. It also ensures that you empathize with the characters, instead of empathizing with them. 'Dadi' of course steals the show.
