Chuskit plot

Chuskit's dream of going to school is shattered when she loses feeling in her legs after an accident. She must now spend her time indoors, under the supervision of her strict grandfather, Dorje. Chuskit doesn't lose her hopes of going to school, but puts those dreams away so as not to lose her family. Grandpa Dorje sees that Chuskit is unhappy and comes up with a plan.

Not for the first time in world cinema, the (im)possibility of going to school has been cast in a film. What is obvious and even mandatory for us, is certainly not the case in many other countries or inhospitable areas. I've already seen similar movies from Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan, China... you name it. This Chuskit falls perfectly within this list.

A film also for a younger audience and can therefore best find its place at the JEF festival. When Chuskit can no longer go to school due to an accident, she languishes at home away from boredom and loneliness. Although she has a caring family, there is little understanding to send her to school because of her paralysis. That they didn't come sooner to literally pave the way is a mystery to me, but it was heartwarming.

Also funny at times (maybe annoying for some) when Chuskit didn't fall on her mouth and could come out very stubborn.
