Vrienten & Vrienten in: Basmannen plot

Henny Vrienten and his son Xander share an unconditional love for an instrument, an underestimated instrument too: the bass guitar. Bass guitarists stand in the shadows, next to the drummer. No one notices them until they stop playing. Henny is an atypical bass player. He is at the front of the stage, his bass parts dictate the sound of the band and are now part of Dutch cultural heritage. Xander is bassist in Jett Rebel's band. He is at the back of the stage, next to the drummer. Henny and Xander differ in their love for the same. Driven by their passion, they go in search of the magic of the bass guitar and the soul of the bass player.

Bassist, singer and composer Henny Vrienten and his son Xander (bassist of Jett Rebel, among others) visit fellow bassists. Everyone has their own style, father and son listen with interest and visibly enjoy the encounters and jam sessions. I'm a bass player myself and to be honest, I've hardly learned anything from this. The chance is therefore small that non-bass guitarists will attach great importance to this.
