From the moment that Rob de Nijs and his band The Lords won a record contract with a talent show in 1962, the singer has become an integral part of the Dutch musical landscape. De Nijs is not only a performer pur sang, but also has the unique talent to interpret the texts of his writers as if they arise from the depths of his own soul. This documentary follows the artist in the period after his 75th birthday. The result is a portrait in which De Nijs and his loved ones take stock of a life completely devoted to the stage and the sacrifices made for it.
