Urban transformation in Istanbul's Fikirtepe neighborhood is driving poor communities away and Syrian refugees seeking refuge in abandoned buildings. Kamil and his wife Remziye are at risk of losing their home. Kamil has been out of work for a while and can't help but secretly accept a job on a construction site. Not only does he take the job of a Syrian refugee, he also works for the company that is demolishing the neighbourhood. Feelings of oppression and fear slowly change him. At work he has accepted a low wage normally paid to refugees and at home and in the neighborhood he tries to disguise where he works. When Kamil suddenly disappears, Remziye must face the consequences of his actions, which are not befitting the man she knows.
