Mou Hitotsu no Kyouiku - Ina Shogakkou Haru Gumi no Kiroku plot

At a Japanese primary school they have a special way of teaching. Instead of the normal subjects, the whole class is assigned a project. They have to care for a calf for a year. On the basis of this, they get to deal with matters such as physics and mathematics in a practical way.
