Drága Elza! plot
During the Second World War, the soldier Lombos Mihály fights for the Hungarian army. His request for leave is denied and he is sent back to the Eastern Front. During the front battles, he is captured by Russian soldiers who use him to their advantage, for example when leading the way in the minefields built by their enemies. In the penal battalion, Lombos meets an old man who provides him with good advice.
