Moeder aan de Lijn plot

In addition to their own families and busy lives, Elien, Carin and Hanna take care of their aging mothers. They do this out of love, although it is accompanied by some frustration. As they wash, clothe, feed and care for, their mothers lose more and more control over life. The roles of parent and child are mercilessly reversed in this observational and at times painful documentary about informal care. The daughters take a break from their work and private lives to be there for their mothers. They threaten to efface themselves.
