La Disparition des Lucioles plot
A sleepy industrial town tucked away in a small bay leaves young Léo with little hope of self-fulfillment. She is disgusted by her life with her mother and stepfather and has wonderful dreams about her absent father. An encounter with timid guitarist Steve pulls her out of her apathy.

And so it is, because Léontine is capricious, hard, disrespectful and anti-social.
She does have a sweet smile, but that often hides criticism, ridicule, cynicism.
Everything around her is of no importance to her and making friends is not on her agenda and then if there is anything or anyone she might be willing to give something to, she is, at the slightest hitch, faithful to her indifferent, tough attitude.
A character study, this film, really carried by a wonderful acting Karelle Tremblay, unknown to me, but acclaimed in her home country, Canada (it is a Quebecoise).
